The DMS  DX System is designed around Inventory Management that begins with taking the customer’s order for immediate picking and shipment, to on-line purchasing and receiving products from vendors. Since inventory is your largest asset, great emphasis is placed upon statistical forecasting and inventory analysis to maximize inventory turn-over and minimize lost sales. An ABC Analysis that ranks sales by units, dollars, and gross profit along with the daily “on-line purchasing” capability,together provide the user with a comprehensive “Inventory Management System”. DMS Systems also provide “RF wireless barcoding receiving” that updates inventory available for sale and creates a receiving interface for updating Accounts Payable and General Ledger.    
 

  • On-Line Future Price Changes - This procedure allows the user to record future price changes as price lists are received, with the System automatically applying them on correct date of change.
  • Ten (10) Selling Price Levels - Up to ten selling prices for an item may be managed by the System.
  • Automatic Price Calculation Option by Gross Margin Objective - This procedure calculates prices using the Gross Margin objectives established in the price matrix file. Prices can be manually overridden as required.
  • Future Price Verification Report - This report is a list of all items with future price changes - designed for “offline” verification.
  • Seven (7) Cost Levels - The System allows seven (7) cost fields — Current, Average, Last Received, Standard, Average Landed, Last Received Landed, and Standard Landed.
  • Costs Calculations - Factors may be applied to a supplier reference cost to calculate costs with override options.
  • Warranty On-Hand Report - This report lists warranty items that are currently held in inventory by manufacturer.
  • Cores On-Hand Report - This report lists core items by quantity and value that are currently held in inventory.
  • Inventory Value Summary(ies) - Summary reports may be printed to provide inventory value information for groups of products.
  • User-Defined Inventory Status Reports - This report provides information on item on-hand, on-order balances, etc.
  • User-Defined Overstock Report - This report shows overstocked items with selection criteria specified by the user.
  • 13 Physical Inventory Periods—Physical Inventory capability for wall-to-wall or cycle counts by RF scanning guns or manually.
  • Physical Inventory Reports by Warehouse Location — Physical inventory may be listed, counted and reconciled by warehouse location.
  • Book-to-Physical Update Reports - After reconciliation, listings may be printed showing changes made to book inventory.
  • Item Demand History - Item demand is maintained by month and year for an unlimited number of years — total requests, total demand (less special orders and promos), filtered demand (abnormal spikes filtered out), total shipped, average weighted monthly demand.
  • Item Rank Recalculation on Demand - Item rank may be calculated monthly by the System or as desired (A, B, C, etc. popularity code).
  • Audit Trails - Audit trails for inventory changes by user.
  • Weight and Size - Cube and weight processing features.
  • Multiple Zone Bin - Multiple zone/bin tracking per item within a warehouse.
  • Nu-Way Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for Price Updating and Inventory Load Pack Services - Electronic updating of prices may be accomplished by downloading information from this service (Automotive Only)
  • Price Updates by CD, Excel or Internet Downloads - Price updates are easy and fast to implement.
  • Return-On-Inventory Inquiry by Month and YTD Providing Sales, Cost-of-Sales, Inventory Value, Margin, Gross Margin %, and Inventory Turns - Available on-line through the Command-Center Dashboard.
  • Popularity Codes - Inventory Investment Analysis by sales popularity across products and locations (A, B, C, etc.).
  • Inventory Investment Analysis - Gross Margin Return on Investment (ROl) Analysis of Sales & Inventory.
